Recruiting guide

For players: your first week

1. Finish your dashboard checklist and add film.
2. Turn your profile on. Copy your link on Sharing.
3. Send proof on the Verify tab.
4. Add schools on Colleges. Mark favorites.
5. Connect email on Account. Send from Smart Follow Ups.
6. Weekly: do the top step in your Workspace.

You make every call on your account. A parent can help; nothing waits for one.

For parents

The 3-minute parent guide, step by step (sound on).

• One profile, one plan: you and your athlete each get your own login on it. Nobody pays twice.
• Made the account yourself? Send him his own login from your dashboard or Account (Text it). He picks "I'm the player".
• You can edit the profile too: photos, bio, testing, stats, film.
• Your dashboard shows the week. Also emailed weekly (turn off on Account).
• Let your athlete lead with coaches. Help write and check emails.
• Help collect proof: offer messages, test results, transcripts.
• Register with the NCAA (D-I/D-II) or NAIA Eligibility Center. The NCAA ID stays private.
• No one can guarantee an offer. Beware anyone who does.

For high school coaches

• My team: post updates, see each player's progress, share links.
• Team plans: buy seats at Team packages. One sign-up link.
• Locker room: public team page with logo and roster.
• Film room: tag plays to players. Your note goes in their emails.
• You only see your team. You can't verify; send proof to Next Level.

For college coaches

• Every coach account is checked by hand first.
• Find recruits by class, position, state, size and 40.
• Green check = verified. Others say self-reported or pending.
• Discover lists. Saved searches email you new matches.
• One tap requests film or a transcript. See the Hot Board.
• Athlete links you get by email open with no login.

1. Complete your profile

• Basics: position, grad year, school, height, weight.
• Grades: core GPA. ACT/SAT if you have one.
• Testing: only numbers you really ran.
• Stats, awards, links, photos. Hudl, MaxPreps, a headshot.
• You pick what coaches see on your Sharing tab.

2. Upload and share your film

• Best 3 to 5 plays first.
• Highlight reel: 3 to 5 minutes. Add a full game.
• Show which player is you (number, spot or arrow).
• Tag best plays with the time, like 1:42.
• Your link and QR code share it all.

3. Your workspace

• Workspace: your whole recruitment on one page.
• Suggested next steps at the top, most important first.
• Each card has a button to fix it.

4. Email coaches

• Emails come from you. Coaches want to hear from the athlete.
• Fastest: connect Gmail or Outlook on your Account page, then tap Send.
• Or: tap Mail or Gmail, send it, then tap I sent it.
• Nothing sends without you tapping send.

5. Follow ups

• Smart Follow Ups says who to email next and why.
• Every email is drafted: intro, follow-up, reply, thank-you.
• Confirmed coach visit? You get an alert and a thank-you draft.
• Thank-you: add something new. Don't ask for an offer.

6. The 5-day rule

• Wait at least 5 days before emailing a coach again.
• Follow up with something new: film, stats, camps, grades.
• No reply after a few? Move on for now.
• Email one coach per staff, not all of them.
• Short. Name, grad year, position, school, film.

7. Offers vs. interest

• Interest: views, follows, replies, questionnaires, camp invites.
• Offer: a coach clearly offers a spot or scholarship.
• A profile visit is not an offer. Neither is a camp invite.
• Got one? Add school, date and type, then get it verified.

8. Get verified

• Everything starts as self-reported.
• Use your profile's Verify tab. Add proof: a link, screenshot or letter.
• Only Next Level staff verify. Not high school coaches.

9. Coach visits

• A coach opens your link in a real browser = confirmed visit.
• You get a Coach Interest alert and a thank-you draft.
• Free profiles see that activity is waiting. Paid plans see who.
• A visit is not an offer. We never fake visits.

10. Priority list

• Mark top schools as favorites. Remove ones you're done with.
• Mix reach schools, good fits and sure things.
• Include more than one level. FCS to JUCO.
• Favorites go first in Smart Follow Ups. Find schools on Colleges.

11. Fit categories

• Each school gets a category, a 0–100 score and Why this fit.
• Missing a test or a 40? Never held against you.
• A fit is not a guarantee. Never uses plan, rank or stars.

12. Your evaluation

• Next Level staff's honest read: level, strengths, what to improve.
• Every number is labeled: Verified by Next Level Pending verification Self-reported
• On your Evaluations tab: Approve & share, Approve only, or Ask for changes.
• You decide. No parent sign-off needed.

13. Discover, rankings, camps

• Discover: ready-made lists. Each says how it's built. No fit or stars.
• Top Recruits and Leaderboards: verified offers, testing, stats, coach visits, full profile.
• Camps: a "worth it" score, calendar and reminders. An invite is not an offer.

14. Plans and credits

• Free profile (Free): your page. Coaches can find you.
• Player Basic ($20, one time): 10 schools, head coach contacts (D2 to JUCO; D1 recruiting inboxes), camps, follow ups.
• Player Premium ($29.99 / month): 50 schools, position coaches (D2 to JUCO), fit, who opened, evaluation, mass send.
• All-American ($49.99 / month): 150 schools, every D1 coach's email (FBS + FCS) and recruiting staff, bigger sends, featured badge, document vault.
• Five-Star ($119.99 / month): monthly call with Coach Smoot, his intros, Hot Board, 48-hour verification.
• Coach Smoot's package: his staff make first contact for you.
• Email credits: 30-day allowance. $5 buys 70 more.
